It's silly, this obsession I have with active participation. I can't seem to simply stand by and appreciate something, I have to join in, and invariably get my ego knocked quite significantly. For example, everything2.com is delightfully gorgeous, a pleasure to read and chock full of beauty. But I go steaming in and post a multitude of writeups that I know are terrible because I have no other thoughts right now. Blah blah blah, lots of downvoting ocurrs and I go to bed feeling moronic and unwanted.
Will I ever learn?
