good day, good things

* I wrapped the last of the Christmas presents, or so I thought.  Another parcel came in the mail today and I'll wrap it tomorrow.  My mom shipped her gifts for the girls, here, so I've been wrapping her gifts as well.

* I finished my paper on Ethics in Midwifery.  I'm behind in my Research class but I want to put it aside for a while and finish a paper for my Aboriginal Women's Health class.

* Jack was home today and we had a delicious lunch at home together; organic mixed baby greens with mandarin orange segments, gilled-at-home chicken breast slices, and mandarin sesame salad dressing.  YUMMM!

* Kim is doing the supper dishes, and there are a lot of them since I prepared supper for tonight and for tomorrow night.

* I've planned meals for the week, and I cleaned out and did a quick inventory of my freezers.

* For supper tonight I made honey mustard chicken breasts, mashed potatoes, steamed baby carrots, and steamed broccoli.  Tomorrow is Shepherd's pie made with ground moose meat, fresh mushrooms, mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes leftover from tonight.  It's nice to know that I don't have to make supper tomorrow.

Last weekend I took the girls to the free movie/Santa day at our local theater.  Charlotte was practising her frowny face.

For the past two years, Charlotte has not been a fan of Santa, but this year she was quite happy to sit with Santa and tell him what she wanted for Christmas.

And one of them together!

And some recent scrapbooking:

A page in Charlotte's album, documenting the little events of the day of her birth, and what a difference a day can make :-)

Easter 2007 in Kim's album.  I love the colors on this paper, and the chocolate bunnies too!

In the Spring of '07, Jack had my mom shave his head to donate his hair to make wigs for cancer patients.

My mom didn't want to shave Jack's head, and she taped a sign on her back that said "under protest".  I recreated a mini version of the sign.

Kim's album, passing the time on long winter days ('07)

Julia's pages, winter '07

Julia's album, how she remembered Abby in the months after Abby's death - making a snow angel, writing prayers for Abby in her school prayer book, coloring pictures for her, etc.

Julia's album, keeping busy through the long winter, 2007.

A "family" page in Kim's album, Spring of 2007.

My goal is to finish the 2007 pages for Julia and Kim, and at least the first six months in Charlotte's baby album.  Making progress on the 2008 pages would be good too ;-)
