work and play

It felt like all I did today was sit at my desk, stare at my computer screen, and click my mouse.  Much digging around on the internet for research and information about rural maternity care, and then an email update from the Pathways coordinator.  The assessors met yesterday and so we received an update on what is happening with the program.  We have a tentative schedule of events that will happen this winter, but there is still so much information we don't have.  I know it will come trickling in over the next few weeks and months.

I feel guilty when I devote so much time to this stuff, but I did have plenty of Mommy Moments.  I made homemade pizza for lunch, unloaded the dishwasher, folded a load of towels, took the girls to the park and a slush on the way home, we played monopoly junior, wrote letters to Santa with the little girls, and I made soup and sandwiches for supper.  I even took a break for myself and sorted some pictures for scrapbooking.

I'm attending a Christmas party for my coffee group in a few weeks; such a fun bunch of ladies, last year's party was a blast!  We'll be having a potluck supper and I signed up to bring a dessert.  I'm going to make this red velvet cheesecake and make it look very festive.

Once the girls are tucked into bed tonight, I'll settle into the couch with my Myles and study index cards.  Tomorrow, back to work on the literature review.  I'm determined to get this PIA assignment done this week.  Two more days of work and then my carrot:  scrapbooking on Sunday!  Hopefully I'll even have a friend join me for a while :-)
