Moms, you know the scenario...I picked Julia up after school and she told me that her class was having a halloween party tomorrow and she wanted me to make something. So like every good crazy mother, I drove straight to the grocery store and stocked up on baking supplies.
Julia and Charlotte helped mix cake batter, lined baking pans with cupcake liners, and fetched eggs from the fridge.
Vanilla cake batter dyed orange, and devil's food chocolate cake batter. Some cupcakes have both kinds in them, some are just one or the other.
Taste tester, giving me her cheesiest biggest grin.
Halloween cupcakes for Julia's class tomorrow. Mini marshmallows cut in half and black gel to spell 'Boo", then gummy orange slice candies put together for the pumpkins, and I cut up green jujubes for the stems. I'm hosting my coffee group tomorrow so I made some of these cupcakes for the kidlets that will be here tomorrow as well.
I also made these
pumpkin bars for my gal pals tomorrow. I didn't make cute little faces on them though, just did chocolate sprinkles ;-) And then I made supper...and cleaned up the little girls' room. I'm worn out now.
After supper, Charlotte and Julia carefully studied the Sears Wishbook.
I managed to get another paper written today too. I'm going to put my feet up now and watch "The Killers" with Kim and her friend.
