I decided to do a little bit of scrapbooking today when I got home from work so I put together two pages from Canada Day 2006 in Julia's album.

Canada Day...2006.  It's now...2010.  I'm 4 years behind and getting more so every day.

I tried out scrapbooking once. Not for me, but the advice the instructor gave to people wanting to start was to start from today and scrapbook forward. She said it would be easier to then go back and work backwards from today to catch up. Make sense what I mean?
I have all my pics in envelopes, filed by date in order, in photo boxes. I can at least find one when I want, but sure don't share them like a scrap book would. I like looking at other people's books, just didn't enjoy it.
Anyway, you are right.... the kids will certainly be pleased to have them later in life!

That's what I did when I first started scrapbooking when Kim was about 5 years old. And I realize it will be a long while before I can work on Abby's book some more, which is why I scrapbooked her 3rd birthday, on her 4th birthday, even though I've left a huge gap. I'm just glad that I've kept my pictures organized al lthis time, so it'll be easier when I finally do go back and catch up!
