- wake up to hear rain pouring out of the holes where my downspouts used to be :-/
- go outside at 6 am in my fleece robe to put garbage cans under the holes to keep the water away from the foundation
- make Julia's lunch, get her organized for school
- feed, change, dress Charlotte
- sign Julia's homework, pack her backpack, boot her out the door to school (not literally)
- put screaming toddler in crib while I shower
- quickly get myself dressed, change Charlotte's diaper
- sort, photograph, fold, bag, and stack diapers, wool and fleece outfits to sell.
- sort and pack up two boxes of winter wear that has been piled in my bedroom
- pack up a box of baby clothes and misc baby items for my nephew's baby
- load empty water bottles, bag of clothes-to-donate, and broken electronics into the van
- bring in empty cardboard boxes I brought home from work the night before.
- take Charlotte, go to hardware store, set up charge account, leave them a big fat cheque, order counter tops.
- pick up bottled water, hamburger buns, and bananas at grocery store
- find out I can't recycle my electronics - they only take tv's and computers.
- go home, unload van, put lunch in the oven to cook
- take Charlotte outside for a few minutes to play. Tidy up outside a little.
- finish making lunch, set the table, put dishes in sink full of soapy water
- eat lunch, change Charlotte's poopy diaper, put her down for a nap
- take everything out of my huge pantry, pack it all into boxes and laundry baskets.
- move toys and other junk away from living room/kitchen wall - it will be demolished today!
- move furniture in living room to make room for the pantry's temporary home in the living room (aren't renovations fun!?)
Everything feels a bit chaotic, which is normal during renovations, and also normal when you have children ;-) For now, I'm ignoring the dishes in the sink and I'll take a few minutes for MEEE while Charlotte naps!
