domestic desperation

I need to be child free and totally alone in my house for a few hours.  I want to clean my house without everything being undone as soon as I leave the room.  I need to bake cookies and make supper without small people asking for snacks and poking through the pantry.  I need to get all the dirty laundry together and know that I'm not going to find

It's the best high ever! I hate clutter, it makes my spirit feel heavy and chaotic, so it always makes me more cheerful and feel lighter when I make space in my life.

Just do it. Sometimes I get so caught up in sorting for charity and recycling that I either get overwhelmed and it takes forever or I just don't do it at all. Go easy on yourself - take a huge black bin bag and start walking around the house just chucking stuff in it. I plan on it today, too. There will always be more stuff for charity.

It *is* overwhelming, especially this time of year. I crave peace and contentment, not chaos and stress.

I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this way at this time of year! I'm also sooo ready for the tree to go away...like, yesterday.

Aw, the tree can stay but the boxes and bins that held all the decorations? Ya, they can get lost. No room at the Inn!

I could have written this myself! I am so ready for my house to be clean, everything in it's place, and just be able to relax, and I know that isn't going to happen for a while. The urge to purge is hitting me too!!!

a place for everything and everything in it's place - this has been running through my head for days and it's time to MOVE on it! Order makes me feel calm and I need some of that right now.

Oh, and I got my first cloth diapers yesterday so on top of trying to get rid of things, I am starting to collect new things.
