Safely delivering three teenage girls home from a party,
Sleeping in,
Waking up to a cool breeze,
Pulling the sheets up to get warm instead of kicking them off to cool off,
Hot blueberry pancakes with butter and syrup,
Sharing breakfast with a friend,
Loading our new washing machine with Goodmamas and Fuzzi Bunz,
Fluffy white towels after a hot shower,
Wiggling Charlotte's toes while she nurses,
Milky baby smiles,
A tall glass of cold, clean water,
Pictures on my Nikon of Jack reading to Charlotte,
Julia bouncing happily through the house,
Feeling the smooth cool pages and heaviness of a midwifery textbook in my lap.
