Kim was home for a couple of days. She napped in the chair with the dog, braided her sister's hair, saw the new Spiderman movie with her dad, went out for supper with all of us, and I took her for some much needed clothes shopping. It was so good to have her home even for a short while.
Jack has been home for his week off and tackled quite a long Honey-Do/We-Do list including installing our new
Ikea shoe cabinet, repaired some loose and broken steps on the girls' play structure, and did yard work with me.
The weather is warm enough that the flannel sheets are off the bed; slipping between cool, smooth sheets is one of the simple pleasures in my life.
Charlotte has a new bike and we've all been out for bike rides together a few times. I'd forgotten how much I like it, but ohhhh boy, my tush was tender after I climbed off the bike.
Jack took me the several garden centers and patiently shopped for bedding plants to pretty up our yard. I was so happy to dig in the dirt after work today and can't wait to see all the colorful blooms around my yard this summer.
Early this morning I got called to a birth, zipped along the river as the sun came up, caught a sweet baby before my coffee was cold, and drove home to have breakfast with Kim before she left for home. Delightful :-)
Now to put my feet up and enjoy an evening with my love, then early to bed. Today started so early and tomorrow is clinic day.
