before I close my eyes
I spent most of the day tying up loose ends, then ventured out with friends to tour through Walmart (new headphones, yay), mail a box of stuff back home, have a salad for supper and then the three of us went to the new James Bond movie, Skyfall. The movie was almost 3 hours long and afterwards we decided to go somewhere to hang out. None of us are staying in places where we can really have company after about 7 o'clock at night, so we went to a local pub & grill and I got ID'd at the door. I know the bouncer was ID'ing everyone, but it was kind of funny to have to show my ID.
I turned my phone back on when we got there and saw messages from Kim along with a picture of Julia's birthday cake that Julia decorated by herself. Kim said they were going to eat it on our "nightly skype date", but I wasn't home :-/ I'll talk to them tomorrow though.
It's supposed to rain tomorrow so I'll snuggle up to my desk and work on my last communications assignment and my sociology exam. I have a pile of paperwork to look through for my clerkship too, but if the rain lets up I may venture out to Starbucks for a while. I can sit at this desk in this room for only so long before I start getting buggy.
Jack and I were texting today while he was at work and I was finishing an assignment; he's a wonderful distraction, that husband of mine. I can't wait to get home.
And now with my comfy pj's' on and my contacts (finally) out I'll crawl into bed with my Kindle for a few minutes before I crash. It's hard for an old bird like me to stay up so late!! I wonder how I'll adjust to being up late and getting up in the middle of the night for births again .... cuz I'm really going to be doing that! Woot!
