no news is good news I hope
It's been two weeks since the IMPP and today's mail still didn't bring a letter. One of the 5 other MCU students got her acceptance letter today and noticed it was only mailed on the 19th! WTF! They said within 3 business days, which should've been the 14th. No wonder it's so bloody late.
I've decorated Charlotte's birthday cake and it turned out pretty well. Charlotte sat at the kitchen table while I decorated her cake and she was so happy - it was exactly what she wanted.
Homecare came today to bath Jack's dad and he was miserable about it. I told him she was here and he said, "Tell her to go away." I just want to kick the old man's ass sometimes. Its ONE compromise he has to make and he just has to grouch about it every week. Today, I just didn't need to deal with it and as soon as he was in the tub I came downstairs to cry.
Memories of Charlotte's birth, the tension of waiting for news from the IMPP, my PMS kicking into gear - it was just a bit much today.
Now that I've mopped up a few tears I'm going to go make tea sandwiches, and some lunch since Julia will be home soon.
Even with no IMPP news, a grumpy old man, and PMS this is a very good day. We're celebrating the arrival of our rainbow baby! And Jack is home all weekend, the sun is shining, my flowers are blooming, and I iget to spend the afternoon with some friends. Very good indeed.
