(+) Coming home late last night to see that Jack had washed the dishes, unloaded the dishwasher and sorted laundry. He even polished the kitchen faucet
(-) Finding a note from Julia's teacher first thing in the morning when I checked to see if she'd done her homework (she hadn't). "Julia socializes too much and doesn't focus on her work." No surprises there, I hear it every Fall from her new teacher.
(-) Took the dog to the vet this morning to have her teeth checked - several need to be pulled. Cha-ching!!
(+) bible study this morning with a group of women I adore (and taking along a loaf of my banana bread to share). While we wipe noses, breastfeed babies, kiss owies and distribute snacks to little people we can learn, share, and laugh A LOT!
(+) Charlotte's excitement when I told her we were having leftovers for lunch. Who would've thought yesterday's tuna casserole could bring so much joy?!
(+) Paying bills, and still having a bit of wiggle room.
(+/-) Knowing that I don't have to wrestle with a turkey all by myself this weekend; we'll be having ham or lasagna instead.
(-) Watching Charlotte tuck her baby doll into 'bed'. She piles blankets into the seat chest, lays her doll on top of the blankets, covers her up, kisses her, and then closes the lid of the seat chest. Ooohhhh, how I hate it when she does that :-( Ouch, ouch, ouch, my heart.
(+) scrapbooking workshop tomorrow and Jack has the day off so I don't have to worry about after school child care! Woot!

(+) Rick Mercer Report - oh, he makes me laugh
(+) tucking in two freshly bathed little girls in their flannel pj's
(+) since I was tired and didn't feel like reading out loud to the girls, we each chose a book to read, turned on the girls' "flower" reading lights, and I stretched out on Charlotte's bed to read with them. I read "The Midwife of Venice" while Julia was reading a novel about horses. Charlotte's choice? A giant, paperback dictionary o-O. Okay then.
(+/-) Charlotte's fascination with ladybugs, indoors and out
(-) Charlotte's tears and wailing when she accidentally stepped on a "teeny, tiny baby ladybug", telling me "it's deeeeead! Foooorrrrr rrreeeaaal....daddy throwed it in the gaaaaaarbage...."
(+/-) Eating pizza while watching TBL.
(+) Hearing a quiet knock on the door tonight, finding a wonderful friend with a loaf of freshly baked bread for me :-)
(+/-) Scrapbooking Charlotte's first visit to the cemetery. The look in my eyes in those pictures....says it all.
(++++) Now, some chocolate and some cuddles on the couch with Jack; he doesn't work tomorrow so he doesn't have to rush off to bed. Unless I want him too ;-)
