a sleepless life..

Theater has always grabbed my attention. In high school I didn't have the public speaking skills or the grades to participate in any plays. Oh i wanted to and tried, but i only got a taste. What did Mary and I do the first week of school? Auditioned for a play. The Vagina Monologues. All I can say is that it felt like I was waiting in a line for a roller coaster. Anticipation, excitement, was just surging through my body. I got up in front of all the hopeful vaginalouguers. The casting director sized me up, looking through the script to find the perfect piece for me to read. She landed on one and asked me to begin. This was a cold reading, so i had no idea what I was in for. I read the title to myself ("The Woman who loved to make vagina's happy") and and laughed out loud as to the appropriateness. I began, "I love vagina's, I love woman..." In the audience, Mary is a hootin' and hollerin', "Yes, just the part I had hoped you would get"!!!!! Two weeks later we finally got the email!!!!! We're in! My favorite part is that 100% of the proceeds are going to benefit the YWCA Domestic Violence Program. WIN!!
