And We're Off...
Well, my flight leaves at 7:30 this morning...which is approximately 7 hours from now. My stuff that I need is packed, my room is still a wreak, I know I'm forgetting at least 10 vital things and I barely cut the weight limit on baggage...
And the nervous butterflies have set in.
Hopefully, I can make some new friends pretty quickly. Maybe there will be other nannies on the street...that'd be cool! I've got to find a church too. And a Walgreens so I can get my film developed. And the Gap outlet that was mentioned to be less than 5 minutes from the house. :-)
I sure hope my box of pictures and frames that I sent last week gets there Monday. I sure do miss seeing those around...and I updated some of the pictures in some of them! I have a cute new one of Allie that I took of her playing at the park. I miss her...I should have watched her yesterday.
Tinks turned 2 yesterday! Happy birthday little kitty! Poor baby knows I'm leaving. He keeps sitting in the suitcases so I can't do any work. That or tripping me as I'm walking in hope that I'm seriously injured and won't be able to go or do anything but sit on the couch snuggling him all day. He misses those good ol days. When he was a baby, I had just gotten my breast reduction so that's all we did. We both loved it!
Daddy made a WONDERFUL seafood dinner tonight...crab legs, shrimp pasta, boiled shrimp, sauteed scallops, steak, soy beans...it was SOOOO goood!!!!
Well, I think I'm going to try to get a couple hours of sleep before we have to wake up at 3:00 AM to get to the airport on time. No joke...that's rediculously crazy...Oh, and I'm not going to have my cell phone. The cell phone company wanted to charge us $100/month to keep my number and on the plan. RIGHT. They're nuts. So I'll get one when I get there. Goodnight!
