Why? Why do people do this? Oh sure, the double speed is funny at first. Then it just becomes stupid. If it's done to speed past a certain part (maybe something's taking forever, or it was being done over and over), then let me ask: Why not edit it out entirely? Because obviously you have no intention of showing that part as is, so why not just completely take it out? It'd save on time and file size.
Then there apparently are entire LPs in double speed. WHAT IS THE POINT?!? Did they want people to download the video and slow it down by themselves so they can see what the fuck's actually going on? I'm sorry, but Yakety Sax can only carry such videos for so long before it just becomes dumb. Of course I could just as easily avoid watching such moronic videos, but the former that I mentioned could happen any time during any LP. And it pisses me off so much when it does happen.
I don't hate all fastforwarded videos, just ones that have no entertainment value whatsoever. Fastforward done as comedy is funny. Normal commentary over a fastforward video is fine too (though I have yet to find such an LP). It's the ones where it's obvious that the video maker just applied a 2x speed mod on the video and called it a day that make me wonder "Why'd you even fucking bother?".
