I love randomness...

Really, I do love randomness. Perhaps, this is because I am afterall, a random person. Take this for example, it's nearly 5 a.m. and I'm wide awake writing in this thing. I don't want to go to work tomorrow.

I am currently bored and cannot return to sleep yet so I'll share with you some random tid-bits from my week (really it's just things that made me laugh or kicked ass).

1. I'm now my best male friend's (in Athens) lab assistant. I'm helping him with one of the final experiments that will help him earn his Ph.D. in the vascular physiology lab. Today we were creating the constent/subject information sheets and when testing females, he noted that we need to be aware of what stage they are in their "cycle" because hormonal activity in the various phases of the cycle alter blood velocity and vessel dialation (which we are testing). So anyhow, he's looking at each phase and suddenly shouts, "Guess what Dani? I'm ovulating this week...maybe that's why I just can't get enough of Jamiroquai, if I was gay, I'd totally do him." Okay, you might not be laughing, it's only one of those "you had to be there moments," but if it helps, there were other people in the lab (who already think he's crazy) AND he's British (so just say what he said in an English accent and it makes it that much more funny). Afterwards, each time a male walked into the lab, he proceeded to ask, "Dude, what stage of your cycle are you on? I'm ovulating." Oh by the way, if you don't know who I'm talking about, my friend's name is Lee a.k.a. "thug nasty"

2. I've started to work out with a personal trainer at the Omni in Athens. Today while doing lunges...backwards lunges at that, I lost balance and fell over. At least I can laugh at my spastic ass.

3. Lee (see no. 1) left me a voicemail at 10 pm saying, "Danielle, it's really dark outside." CLICK. I called him back and said "WTF?" he simply replied, "well you see, it's dark because it is night time. I am a scientist and I observe these things." And that was that. We then continued to have a 10 minute conversation about perfecting the art of making a cup of English tea. Yes, I drink hot tea, like an old lady...boo to you.

4. While studying in between classes today in the dining hall study lounge, I let my freind, Alex, borrow my iPod and my ghetto fab headphones (the ones in which the left ear doesn't work anymore thus throwing off your equilibrium). Apparently he couldn't take the listening with on broken ear and one working ear and proceeded to take off the headphones and hurl them at me from across the room. My laughter at this turned into a giant snort and people turned and stared...this just made me laugh harder.

5. Thinking back to Monday, about 30 of us really cool Exercise Science kids played Capture the Flag on the North campus quad. We really didn't set boundaries and I was chasing opponents around downtown. That game kicked ass, I recommend that all of you gather a group of friends and play. NOW!

6. On Tuesday night I went to see Better Than Ezra in concert at the 40 Watt Club. They are my favourite group by far if you didn't know. The show, "rocked my face off," or so said the really drunk kid that was standing behind my group....apparently homie thought he was in a mosh pit and I couldn't stop laughing after he spilt his drink and slid on its remains which were covering the floor. Maybe he didn't deserve that, but after he had hit me in the back of the head with his elbow about 4 times, I figured he could use a slap in the face or a fall to the floor, whatever works.

Okay I'm sure there's more, but I'm starting to get sleepy.
