March 19, 2007 marks the four year anniversary of the Iraq War.
Since 2003:
3,144 American Soldiers,
2,944 Iraqi Soldiers,
and 52,187 Iraqi civilians
have been killed due to military intervention in Iraq.

Obviously these numbers change as each day goes by. So these numbers, which I found a week ago, have grown even more. If you work the math out, forty people a day die because of the war in Iraq.
I'm personally against the war. I can't really express how much March 19th means to me. It's a day to remember everyone who has lost their life, honor those who are willing to put their lives on the line and think about what we're doing.
PLU Peeople: I expect to see you all pass by Red Square during chapel break. If nothing else, it sure makes you think.
And to everyone participating: You guys are amazing. This event means the world to me, and it's such a great experience for me to look at the list and realize that a great deal of it is my friends. I know some of you guys are making sacrifices to be there, and I know that some of you aren't hugely political people, but it really means a lot to me. So thanks.
