I'm flying home this morning, so I was up at the crack of dawn doing my usual last-minute packing... on two hours' sleep. But I have a lot to be thankful for, so I'm not complaining. Much.
On the shallow/TV side of it, I'm thankful that the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition I captioned this week is a good one. Seriously, if you're forced to watch one hour of Ty Pennington this holiday season, this Sunday's episode is worth it. I even teared up despite my Ty Hate.
Also, this Sunday's DH is good. Dude, it opens with a Christmas-y reworking of the Beetlejuice/Nightmare Before Christmas themes. (While I love Danny Elfman, most of his stuff is a rework of his previous stuff. And for that, I am thankful.) Anyway, I'm happy to report that the ABC promo does not spoil the good bits :)
I skimmed the Target and Best Buy ads, but there's not much on sale that I don't already have or want. Anyone find any good shopping deals?
All right, time to head for the airport. So far, the planned family activities are dinner, squabbling with my sister, a trip to Sephora, my cousin's Eagle Scout ceremony, and getting Mom hooked on The Office. So if I owe you an e-mail (coughmamafunny2000cough especially), I'll hopefully write back this weekend.
