I'm reading this article, http://www.newsweek.com/id/172554?tid=relatedcl, about two women who divorced and their custody battle and I am so tremendously angry.  I usually keep these ideas in my head and try to forget them but I need to write something down.  One women joined Jerry Falwells' church and renounced being gay because Jesus made her see it was a sin or something like that.  I'm too angry not to sound snarky at the moment.  I went to her blog and was very close to leaving this as a comment, but I don't know.

"Real Christians would put love for others above all.  I'm very sorry that you have been swept up in a religious movement that uses hot button issues and twists Christ's meaning (Love everyone, not just those whose behavior who deem to be acceptable.) to further political and most likely monetary aims.  After reading your story in Newsweek I am disgusted that you want to bring up a child in a community that praises bigotry and intolerance.
There are days when I come close to calling myself a Christian but I will never take that title upon myself if it means being associated with people who hold believes of hatred and exclusion.  "

Honestly, this article is disgusting to me.  It's fairly obvious that all this hatred and making it an issue of homesexuality is just because of the bitterness between the two women.  Maybe they should realize that if they both love their daughter they should shut the fuck up and work out a deal allowing her to be raised by two human beings that love her.
