Well, you just broke my heart.
That was beautiful but now I ache.

Your Spock voice is truly spot on.

His eyes are dark, that Iowa-sky blue is scattered with rainclouds. His shoulders are low; his whole body a storm.

“Jim?” he reaches out, his fingers uncurling toward Jim’s face to wipe away the weather. It’s something painful that rumbles through him as his friend flinches away, jerking back before the Vulcan can touch him.

“No.” Oh my. Seriously, you broke me. That's so beautiful and just heart breaking.

Thank you for sharing it with us.
.xx.

Thank you very much for reading. I'm glad you liked that part, it was easily my favourite part when I was writing it. xx

No! You can't end it there!
YOU are a breaker of hearts! ;_;
(Why didn't I take your warning more seriously?!)

That being said, wonderfully written. Beautiful, yet utterly sad. :(

It is a long, long time since I have read a story so compelling, not just for its content (and that beautiful, heart-rending final section) but also for its quality of writing. You've such a deft, poetic turn of phrase. I've been lax about reading fanfiction recently, and maybe disillusioned by quality, but this story is wonderful. Jim breaks my heart in this and that is so unusual and very well crafted.

Thank you for writing this.
