Anyway, I was just stalking the Chinese forums like I regularly do, when someone suddenly bombarded us with spoilers for Vol. 9. If you can understand Chinese, then better go read it in its pure unadultered form well, not really..coz someone just translated it from Jap to Chi..LOLXD

As we all might've guessed, volume 9 is a very very Izaya-centric volume. What with all the chapter names referring to Izaya one way or another. I mean:
Chapter 1 = Informant
Chapter 2 = Iza-nii
Chapter 3 = Flea
Chapter 4 = Vice President (must be during their middle school?)
Chapter 5 = Orihara Izaya
It's an Izaya-haven for his fans including me XD
Also, it's been mentioned in their official summary that Izaya was imprisoned right? Well, seems like that part is quite small and rather irrelevant, ending up with Izaya turning the tides on the kidnapper and screwing her (Yup! a female! XD)
However, what really got the fans all hyped up is that, apparently, Izaya's past = Shinra. LOL It seems like Izaya either envied or looked up(?) to Shinra and was the cause of his rather *cough*unique*cough* personality.
And quoting all the other fans: Oh..so Shinra is actually DRRR's ultimate SEME. LOLXD I can't help but agree with that statement. I mean, we already know that he's got Celty's, the legendary headless rider's affections...and then we suddenly find out that he also played a major part on Izaya's regression!? /shot So yeah, Shinra TOPS all. 'nuff said. XD
In addition to that, it seems like Nakura was Shinra's and Izaya's classmate. And the stabbing incident happened because Nakura attacked Izaya(or was it vice versa?) in retaliation, only to have Shinra block the way (because he thought, by playing hero, it would make Celty like him more...orz) which resulted in him getting injured. LOL
Anyway, what really hit me hard was the part with the Orihara siblings..although I already expected it, with all the doujins and fanfics I've read. But still, it kinda hurt when it was proven to be canon. ;A; I'm not gonna translate the whole thing, coz I suck like that. But just the lines that killed me.
"Orihara Izaya loves his sisters. Loves his two, although naughty, yet still cute sisters. So he treated them very gently, just like any other older brother."
"Orihara Mairu and Orihara Kururi like Orihara Izaya very much. Because he is their brother, their most beloved Iza-nii. So they love him, just like how he loves them."
"But the both of them are unaware of a lot of things....
Like what Orihara Izaya does in his spare time when he's not spending it with them.
Like....how Orihara Izaya loves Orihara Mairu and Orihara Kururi because they're both his beloved humans.....and only because of that."
And just to add insult to injury, Izaya used to pick them up from their school every after class, helped them with their lessons and even allowed them to steal his dessert...Everything just went downhill when Izaya told them that he loved them like how he loved ordinary humans. ;A;
The little Orihara-sibling fangirl in me is wishing that all hope's not lost with them yet..I mean, there should be something, no matter how little it is, between them. Considering that Izaya IS a bit guilty with how his sisters turned out..and how the twins are so obsessed with becoming a complete human or something. >A<
Oh! And before I forget, it seems that by the end, Celty finds out where her head is...
Izaya, who betrays(ed?) his one and only friend, laughs like a maniac and then proceeds to punch an electric pole with all his might.
"There's already nothing to be afraid of, after all,to this day, I've always been living like this."
