Mommy has been up since six o'clock expecting me to wake at any time but I have decided to sleep in. As a result, she has been able to fix up some pictures to post as well as type a journal entry for me!
I had my 6-month well-baby checkup recently and I checked out just fine. I had so much fun in the exam room as we waited on the doctor for thirty minutes or so. I was screaming with glee and I'm sure everyone in the office could hear me. Once my doctor came in, he spoiled my good mood when he poked the top of my head repeatedly trying to feel my soft spot. Since he couldn't feel it, he sent me to have my first x-ray to examine my skull. While in x-ray, this nurse tried to make friends with me but I ended up not liking her at all because she made me hold my head still using these extra soft sponges. What a mean lady. Anyway, after several days of waiting for the results of the x-ray, we found out I do indeed have a soft spot, you just can't feel it by touching my head. Even my flat spot has improved tremendously and looks great in the x-ray image. I had to get more shots at this visit but, thankfully, only two.
Mommy went through her camera and found an old picture of me she wanted to post. It is of me right before I was going out with mommy to see Grandma Cheryl. I got all dressed up because I thought I was going to meet some of her friends, but they ended up not being able to come so I was all dressed up for nothing.
Here are a couple of close-up shots of me with my Joshua bib on:
Those pictures are from a LONG time ago. I've changed so much since then. For instance, back then, I certainly couldn't do this:
Yes, I'm growing! I love to hold my bottle by myself even if I just chew on it or flop it around my play pen causing formula to spill all over my clothes. Sometimes I drop it and I haven't figured out how to pick it back up yet.
Well I guess that's it for now. I think mommy is starting to worry since I haven't woken up yet. She just doesn't realize that I like to sleep in on Saturdays. Who wouldn't?
Bye for now!
