na na, i'm on holiday!
So, job has been quit, savings have been tucked away in an easy to access location, and i'm off to europe. Woo!
Currently sitting in the dingiest internet cafe in little india in singapore. It's like little china town, but cheaper :) Heck, the taxi driver that recommended it to me parked the car and walked me up the stairs to make sure I found it ok. The friendly confused guy at the desk let me log on to a windows machine as administrator so I could leach the IP/DNS/Gateway settings and try plugging in my laptop, which worked. Woo. That is when he showed up. I was in the building by myself for about 10 minutes before he came in. Guess he was getting lunch. *boggle*
Plans are 2 more night in singapore, then off to Vilnius in Lithuania to see family until the end of July. Then I have 2 weeks to kill before vising a good friend in Denmark on the 14th of august for 2 weeks. Not sure exaclty what I will do in that time. If I leave just before August an anti-clockwise loop around Scandinavia might be the way to go. After denmark i'm not sure. I sitll haven't gotten in touch with gus and or sarah about dropping in to say hi, which i'll vaguely do now. Um, hi? In town anytime soon? :) But likely a loop around western europe before slumming it in central / eastern europe before heading home. The only proviso is getting to amsterdam where I have a chronologically flexible flight booked to vienna, then back to singapore then home to melbourne.
So not much to report, since I only got to the hotel at 1am this morning. I don't have any major plans in singapore -- just a necessary stay for the connecting flight to vilinus.
I'll try to keep updating, but not too much. Who want's to hear my inane babble anyway :D
