What I posted today on Facebook.

I wish people would check links before they post them. Many quotes can be cut and pasted into the browser. Snopes is a web-site that I highly recommend, especially as it provides links to the original article. Wikipedia, not so much, especially when a short while ago, you could read about how O.J.Simpson murdered Senator Ted Kennedy.

Whenever I see a link that flat out lies or gives something that's 3% true, and 97% lies, I am reminded of something that happened while I was at University of Oregon, concerning how the Book of Mormon was used to "prove" that Mormons were anti-Christ (Alma 31:15-18).

Over and over, I see people treat President Obama and others with the same careful contempt that these people in my past treated my scriptures and the teachings of my church, and then people I now admire and respect just pass the lies on, posting them on Facebook, apparently thinking (like so many at college did) that they're true without going to the source and reading it in context, or to see if it was even copied out correctly in the first place.

I don't get it, and my head hurts real bad after I pound it on the keyboard a few times.
