I guess my sister thinks please and thank yous are only fit for favors. If you want someone to do something you don't have to say please unless it is a favor. If it is necessary work required, there is no need to say please or thank you. what the fuck? am I the only one who thinks it is good manners to use these words?

yea, asking first and commanding second is usually better in my book.
