A few things about this weekend . . .
Just a few notes about this past weekend -
* I finally got the holes fixed and painted in my hallway (raising a 100 lb. German Shepherd means some amount of destruction to your belongings and house).
* I threw a baby shower for our friends Shaun and Alicia (I hosted it and Paul and Carrie helped out with money and putting it together). A lot of people showed up and it turned out to be pretty fun.
* After the baby shower, I went to a party for the wife of a professor in our department. It was a lot of fun and Stephanie and I both agreed that we really liked them as a couple.
* (the shower and party were both on Saturday - keep in mind, I had been sleeping on average two hours each night that week)Before Steph and I headed to the second party, she had noticed one of our friends had posted on facebook that he was wanting to go out to drink. So, we met up with him and some of his friends at Henry's around 10:15. He had some of his friends from grad school with him (one I think was a post-doc). Great guys to drink with (gotta love when the night includes several rounds of shots)! One of the guys had the same birthday as me!
* I think I decided to organize a night to Empire Room and Velvet Dog in KC for my b-day. We just have to figure out what we're going to do about getting back home. Should be a fun night though!
* Now, it's Sunday and I have to read and prepare for my class on Monday.
