Joints and jams
Well yeah i said i would write a review of the show, well better late then never. I think there was around 15 000 people in the Bell Center. Lots and lots of chicks in the pit, me and Sonny were pleasently surprised. Show started with this new band called StoryoftheYear, they were pretty energetic, good intensity, too bad the croud was dead for them at the beginning but in the end they were into it, they played Enter Sandman which got the croud and me going. Ended pretty good, 30 mins set.
Then quick stage change and it was Hoobastank, i love Hoobastank and i was really looking forward to seeing them preform. And i wasn't disapointed, they fucking rocked the house!!! They startd with Pieces and Crawling in the dark, kick ass songs. Then they played the best damn song that's ever been written, words of the singer, :"girls just want to have fun". All the chicks in the place loved it. They finished it off with out of control. I was just bitter that they didn't play longer cause they rock, only 30 mins.
It was now POD's turn to come, by this time the croud was getting louder and louder. Good laser show to start, but as the set continued i was getting disapointed, we coudlnt' really understand what he was singing, and they didn't play alot of their good songs. Cool moment was for Youth of the nation, they brought up like 10 people from the croud to sing with them. And the final song was Alive and it was the best part of their show, they extended then end for like 3 mins the whole croud was singing, i love it when you can hear a croud singing. So POD wasn't that great in my mind. But honestly while they were playing i was just thinking to myself, man i want to see Linkin Park!!!! During the break i saw lights behinf me so i turned around and it was Hoobastank getting interviewed near the sound booth, so i went up to see them, and actually talked a bit with them, cool guys, but i was pissed i didn't have anythign for an authograph. oh well...
20 mins later....Time for LP!!!! And holy crap the croud was loud, ive seen alot of shows at the Bell Center in Montreal and let me tell you that this was one of the loudest croud ever. I already put up the set list. They really played a great concert, lots of jumping screaming. I dont know where Chester gets his voice but that little man can scream his ass off!!! I loved that they played songs that they had never played before, like It's going down, breaking the habit and such. THey also played In the end, which they hadn't played this summer at the Summer Sanitarium. Top moments were the begining with "With you", faint, a place for my head and one step closer. During the encore, the croud started singing the Canadiens goal song, like a soccer chant, and they started doing the wave, it was pretty damn cool. So yeah Linkin Park fucking kicked ass!!!
On to other stuff, i hurt my right wrist friday at the gym, it was at the end of my set and felt something wrong and i had to let go. It's been bothering me ever since. but it hasn't stopped me from going to the gym, i tested it out yesterday and it was ok, i just had to tape it tight. i just wont go as hard as i was for a week.
I also bought the StoryoftheYear cd, and it's really good. Glad i discovered them at the concert.
Next thing on my shopping list is the Dave Chappelle, Chappelle's Show DVD season 1 comming out in 2 weeks, they man is freaking hillarious.
I should write more often but whatever.
