I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday! This weekend has been good...well let me back up. Last week I went to the beach with my grandparents, great aunt and uncle, and Whitney! We had soo much fun! Lots of sleeping, tanning, eating, and believe it or not we actually studied too! It was actually easier with Whitney studying right beside me, we pushed each other on! I was proud of myself cuz I have two mid-terms this week coming up! So pray for me! I HAVE to do good on these cuz Patho is not looking too promising. But my grandparents are crazy, they have such a funny relationship always picking on each other, but always like flirting with each other too! And they're both just really happy all the time, so I hope I'm like that if I have a husband by that time in my life! ha! Anyway we got back to ttown Saturday, then my friend Kerrie Kirkland came to town that night, so we hung out with some of my girlfriends Sat. night, went to church Sunday, played in random Tuscaloosa water spots sunday afternoon like the cliffs, the Lake, and some creek off of Lake Nikol. It was fun! Kerrie is so awesome, she went to Fiji with us and goes to school at UGA. But she is from Huntsville. She is so passionate for the Lord. And unafraid! she is brave! She is working with inner city children in Huntsville all summer long, and oh does she have some funny stories from that! She pretty much goes into the projects everyday, which is amazing to me! Recently our church here has started ministering to the worst apartment complex in town and all we do is once a week knock on their doors and take prayer requests...and I get scared at that!! Kerrie is amazing! Very knowledgeable about the Bible, too. I love her so much! She will graduate in a year and is actually thinking of coming to Alabama for grad. school which would be awesome!!! So we'll see...Today we will probably go to the lake and play in a little bit then watch fireworks tonight somewhere...fun fun. So recentlly I confess I have NOT been praying like I should be...but Todd, our college minister, gave us a challenge Sunday morning to pray for one hour straight...and I did just that this morning while I was running! It was sooo easy too. Like it made the run just fly by. Now I have done this kind of before you know pray things while I run, but this was straight up prayer...like I just had the best talk with my Father, I mean I just dumped it all on Him! and I cannot tell you the difference it has already made in a couple of hours in just my feelings about situations in my life. Like the weight I felt I was carrying has just been completely lifted. God is amazing. That's all there is to it. So all praises to the Lord! He rocks! I would highly recommend getting to know him if you don't already. And spending as much time as possible with Him if you already do know Him! One thing I do need some maybe extra prayers is just for discipline to work hard for the Lord and balance that with fun times. I guess to set my priorities where they need to be. Again hope yall enjoy the 4th and have a great week! Love, Britt
