Well, we just got back from the other side of the state where we were visiting my sister-in-law and her family. We combined the visit with a bit of a getaway for the two of us. We spent one afternoon with the family, taking them out to dinner then taking the kids to the park and then they talked there uncle (my hubby) into reading them there bedtime stories when we all went back to their house. It was so cute to watch.
The kids were great! And my sister-in-law will soon be adding another nephew to the list of munchkins to spoil. I am so happy for them but I am so jealous too. I really hope that I am able to have a kid soon. The internal mommy clock is driving me nuts!
On another note, the rest of the trip went very well too. We bummed around on the lake shore and in the lakeside town we usually stay at and explored shops there as well as in a couple of the other towns along the shore. My feet and legs cooperated and I was able to get a lot of walking in for the first two days, then had to change to a borrowed wheelchair on the third day because one of the tires on mine came loose from the wheel. *sigh*. Things like that always seem to happen right before a big outdoor thing is planned, don't they?
Anyway, we picked up some used books at the book store we like and some little odds and ends at some of the curio shops. We also were able to fit in a visit to the botanical gardens and sculpture park. Now that was great. We haven't visited there since the year we were married. Boy, have they added to the place! It was lovely to see all the changes.
Well, got to go now,
