Held back through a streak of anger,
And bursting when alone.
Salty rivers of healing,
That don't want to be shown.
Made for a child,
But expressed as a woman.
Showing complete vulnerability,
But gaining strength of a man.
Trickling, drying, and washing,
Blurring the look of it all.
Shaping, changing, and loving,
Across the skin they fall.
From emotion to tangible,
But wiped away.
Only to come again,
In the next time of disarray.
To fully understand this poem and what it is about, you might have to read it a couple of times. Lines three, seven, nine, twelve, and fourteen, I think, give away the subject the most. The other lines make more sense after you know what it is about. This poem actually about tears. Its about why people cry, and the emotion held within them. Tears can show so many things, but this poem, for the most part, talks about tears from anger and sadness. I came up with it while bored in study hall. It's not written in the same voice as my usual writing, but its similar in the reason for writing it I, personally, really like the style of writing in this. Its not my usual, but my poems often sounds so much alike. I like how this one is a little different.
