Instead of worrying about the LGBT community---who are only trying to be accepted as human beings and live a regular life---the state should be worrying about the rapid growth of homegrown terrorist groups, who can care less about people's right to live.
And maybe if the govt stops blocking porn, the young people who are prone to being manipulated and corrupted by extremists would spend their free time and energy watching porn instead of training to be so-called "jihadists".
Instead of voicing out bible-thumping opinions and branding gays and trans as this and that, state officials should do something about corrupt officials, shady businessmen, tax evaders, and other scums this country is filled with.
Instead of "taking care" of people who arent straight, take care of the poor living in unsanitary slums, children with illnesses, curb unemployment, provide cheap education.
There are so many core issues Indonesia needs to handle. Yet we choose to focus on things that the rest of the world sees as a thing of the past.
I was gonna say we are being Neandhertal-esque ever since the start of this year. But I refrained, because our primitive Neandhertal cousins knew of homosexuality, and they were chill about it.
