Salutations,
...Ok, now that that is out of my system (I've been dying to use that word...'salutations'), :hugs for all: I'm in ME visiting my sister (and my neice and nephew and my grandparents) and freezing my ass off. It is so cold up here. I live in MA, it's cold there, too, but ME is further North.
Anyway, I've been mad busy at work. I'm not gonna lie, the economy is really worrying me. As of right now, I have a 2 yr contract at work. It's great that I am guarenteed a job for the next two yrs, but I want to get rid of the contract and be there until I'm fired, retired, or quit. If I get hired as a def full timer, I get a pay increase, PA time, and I qualify for tuition reimbursment (which I would love so I can finish school). However, because the economy is so ify right now, my company is doing a hiring freeze and we can no longer work overtime. Now, the hiring freeze means that the company is not going to be hiring anyone and they aren't going to convert anyone else who is already with the company.
I also recently decided to switch my major and transfer to a different school. I spent 4yrs in University with a major that made me miserable, but made my parents happy. I didn't finish my degree. Some events happened over the summer and made me realize that life is too short and I can't keep doing things that make my parents happy if I'm going to be miserable. So, I decided I need a change. Unfortunatly, I picked the worst time to do it.
...c'est la vie.
Well, my nephew and niece are up from their naps. Gotta go!
