You know what this journal is?

Baggage.

Baggage that no one wants to see. It's all my vulnerable moments boxed into this perfect little space. REALLY. I must come across as some crazed emo. But I promise you, I'm REALLY happy.

Oddly so.

I'll show you how.

1) Let's assume that from ALL of my sad, emo, angry, angsty moments (100%), I post here about 70% of the time. Which to me seems like a pretty accurate figure.

2) I have a total of 67 journals spanning from June 2005 to the current date. Let's push this date back to December 2009 for calculation's sake. So that's 67 journals in 3 years. One of these journals is my friends-locked post warning, so technically it's 66.

3) Now, 66 journals divided by 3 years will give you my approximate average per year. But I'm trying to find out how many 'negative' journals I had. So out of 66, so many journals had 'negative' connotations or 'dark' themes? The answer is 23.

4)  So 23 negative journals divided by 3 years. 23/3=7.6. That means that I had roughly 7.6 negative journals per year.

5) Based on (1), I decided that I posted about 70% out of the 100% possible OR 7/10 times. So now I have to make the value of 23 journals which I assume is the 70% and make it into it's maximum value. Which basically looks like this: 23/x = 70/100; solve and you will get a maximum value of 32.8.

6) Using the new figure of 32.8 which dictates that had I posted for everytime I was negative, I would have been negative (32.8/3) 10 times a year.

7) Assuming that it is not a leap year and there are 365 days in a year, I was negative 10 days out of 365, or roughly 0.027% of the time.

Unfortunately, I don't have other peoples statistics on this. But I'm going to assume they are negative like 10% of the time.

Therefore, my premise that I am oddly happy is vindicated.

Cheesecake, anyone?
