I didn't see 'Smash' in this article ... the one show that NBC is counting on to save it from the bottom of the heap. All I can say is 'try again'! No matter how you dress it up, it's still a singing competition. And of all the amazing singers out there, Katherine McPhee gets the lead role. And don't get me started on the casting ... I see one diverse character ... hey, you gotta have one right??
