2011 Writing Round-up..!

Snagged from ancarett..

In 2011, I wrote thirteen (13) fanfiction stories totalling 200,000 words. Goodness me!! *shocked* Up from 163,000 in 2010, and 137,000 in 2009!

My longest fan fiction in 2011 was The Things We Lost (41,000+) (Clark/Lois, Smallville (2011)). That particular story was firmly in my head as a one shot, but the response was overwhelming, so I had to finish what I started. *shrugs* I'm a sucker for fan comments!

My best story: Well, I think it has to be "The Things We Lost." There may be other stories out there of SV!Clois losing five years of their relationship, but it was always something I'd thought about, and so I took that leap after the episode 'Dominion.'

My favorite story: Do I have to choose? Alright, then, Now or Never (Clark/Lois, Superman Returns (2011)). I'd written post-SR before, but adding red kryptonite as a catalyst to the story turned it on it's ear. I loved how it came together.

My favorite OC: No question ... To Love Again (Clark Kent/OC (Jane Troupe-Douglas), 2011)). A future fic with an immortal Clark Kent meeting a 'Lane' descendant and turning his life upside down!

Story most under-appreciated by fandom, in my opinion: Hummm, well, Redemption (Tess/Oliver, Smallville, (2011)). Tess and Oliver were always meant to be a couple and the way Smallville ended its run upset me to no end, especially leaving Oliver flapping in the wind, not to mention Tess being killed! I had to right that wrong folks.

Story I wrote that I never thought I'd write: It has to be I Had a Date (Captain America/Peggy Carter (2011)). Talk about a shock to me! But it wasn't until I saw both CA, Thor and the Avengers trailer that finally kicked my Muse into high gear and I'm so glad she did.

Most fun: Any story with Clark Kent on red krypotonite or some other drug, which turned into a theme this past year, including: Addicted to You, Flashback, and Now or Never.

Sexiest story: Ok, I had to count the number of times they did it! Now or Never takes the prize! They were overdue! What can I say??

Hardest story to write: Yes, it has to be I Had a Date (Captain America/Peggy Carter (2011)). A story that had me going in circles trying to figure out how to bring Peggy to the future (young enough to enjoy her man), and writing Thor/Jane for the first time! *pulls hair out*!

Easiest to write: Humm, not really 'easy' but it flowed pretty well. It was Now or Never. Once I figured out how to expose Clark to red krytonite, then the rest was pretty easy.

Did you take any writing risks this year? See ... Hardest story to write!

Biggest disappointment: Humm, well, I would have to say The Balance of Life (Jake/Neytiri, Avatar 2009 (2011)). Wow, did I rush this story out there. I probably will rewrite certain sections, which included the main plot of the story (why the humans came back). I wasn't pleased with it at all. I should delete it! *face palm*

Biggest surprise: Humm, surprise? Meaning how well it did (most reviews EVER!). It was To Love Again (Clark Kent/OC, 2011)). Totally surprising and so nice!!!
