When I started this term of teaching, I showed the usual pix of Amy and Zoey, so my students would know more about me.
In the day class, the pic I showed of Amy got a "What a hottie" statement from some anonymous student. In the night class, one person said, "She's pretty," and another told me that she looked like she was in her early 20s.
Amy thinks they're all kissing up, but if they were, they should have made sure I knew who said those things so I could give them extra points later. Hah.
Despite my wife's apparent low self-esteem, I agree 100% with my students.
