Home Again

Back from Chattanooga, where things went...okay. I don't know exactly where to begin on the weekend at home, so maybe I'll come back to it.

Today, I've got Zoey for the day, and we're both really tired. I hope she naps well...Tomorrow, I've got classes starting again, which should go okay, though I should have done more in preparation for it by now. Hey, I was out of town.

It's finally snowing. In Chattanooga, I was wishing I'd packed a short sleeve shirt or two, but it's colder here, and now it's snowing.

I spent a few days down South, obviously. It was, in part, my chance to spend time with my father, who could pass away at any time (or it could be a long time). Somehow in all of that, I also spent a lot of time looking at houses with my sister, who is shopping for her new place.

Dad gave us his guns because he doesn't want them around when his condition worsens. He doesn't need the temptation, or so he claims. So be it, I suppose. He also gave me a stack o' ties that I like pretty well.

I discovered that Waldenbooks in Hamilton Place Mall is going out of business soon. Like, tomorrow or so. If you're in Chatt, drop in for their 40% off prices like I did. On top of that, I got to McKay and picked up a book I didn't even know existed yet. I wish I had more money for book shopping, but that's okay. Oh, Parisian's going out of business, too. Not that I dropped in there (or even cared).

I got quite a bit of time with Dad this weekend, where he started an awkward conversation with "Is there anything about your childhood you want to know more about?" or something really close. Our conversations were fine, just a bit awkward.

So much more to say, but so much more to do.
