It's been a hectic last few days, what with the teaching and such. Wednesday was especially bad, as I had the Tater to tote around, and the evening commute to grandma's for babysitting while I was teaching the night class, then the commute back to pick her up, was rather tiring. On top of that, Tuesday nights are Slam nights (or at least open mic nights) every week, and I go in part to read, and in part to see if my students show up for extra credit. So I'm out late Tuesday, and Amy works Wednesday.
In another couple of weeks, when I'm used to this schedule, it won't be so bad. Until then, it's so bad.
On top of that, classes have been less than perfect so far. I'm not feeling as "in charge" as I was at the old college (so far), but I'm getting there.
On Tuesday, we met the lady who'll be watching Zoey in the future. She's quite nice, if a bit of a Beautiful Person (tanned, with exercise equipment in the house that she's obviously used), and we think she's going to be a great babysitter. We'll start with her next week.
Now it's the "weekend," so I've got to get my notes together and ready for next week's classes, and Amy works tomorrow, so I've got to get it all together (and grade the papers I've gotten from in-class writings). Fun times.
Sorry this isn't the most coherent of entries. Not sure what I've got to say, but I feel like I need to update some.
Oh, I came in second at the last Slam. That was fun, and lets me know I've still got at least some of "it."
