So I just finished Ghosts of Albion: Accursed by Amber Benson (Buffy's Tara) and Christopher Golden. It was, um...
awful.
"His arousal was so complete that it hurt him, and when she slid her hands over his prick it leaped at her touch...Once again her fingers wound about his pego, taking him in her grip."
And so on.
At one point, a woman's nipples were called nubs.
If the goal was to find it funny, it worked. If the goal was to consider it serious liteature, the authors failed terribly. Romance novel combined with gothic British magic combined with early-teen romance novel.
Angelle's right: Life's too short to read awful fantasy. Unfortunately, I tend to finish any book I start. Now I hope I can start a worthwhile read...
