gimptastic!
So yeah, today was the big day!
I woke up at 11 or so and I couldnt eat or drink (including water) prior to the surgery....and damn was I thirsty. Got dressed and stuff and went to Mercy Hospital. Within a few minutes, I was already in the robe thingy and these really cool socks, I so took them from the hopsital (they said I could!). So, after lying in the bed, getting the iodine swab on my wrist, getting the IV in and watching news->soapopera->first 3 innings of the Red Sox game, I finally went into the OR. Riding in those beds are fun as hell! And I didnt have my glasses on when they were wheeling me in, so I had no clue where I was, but it was almost like, riding through the Disney Haunted Mansion, but lying down, and no automated scary things. So, went in the OR, I lied down on this other table, and I remember spreading my arms out, and them putting an oxygen mask on my face, then that was it.
The strangest thing ever though...right before waking up, I had this really brief dream. It was a white nothingness room with 2 doors. I went into the right door and I woke up....what was in the left I have no idea.
I woke up and was like..."am I awake?" and the nurse at my bed was like "yes dear"...lawl...I was still drugged up. Eventually, I got wheeled back into the other room, and sat down in this uber comfy chair. We watched the RedSox game from the top of the 8th till the bottom of 9th. We finally left and went home.
My left wrist feels like megaman, big ass blue splint on it...I should get a plasma cannon put in this thing.
So, I was in and out for the rest of the day, and I cant drive till wendsday, cause I guess it takes 2 days for the anestetic to leave my body. Whatever. I feel very wide awake now....oh...I also have Oxycodine. I guess this stuff makes you sleepy, but cause my body is retarded, Im wide awake, but maybe even more goofy, if thats possible.
So, yeah. I'll be stopping in on wends or thurs to the big yizzle....and no, I cannot take off the splint and flash my stitches.
