100% Unstolen

So, Stu and I had a conversation on the phone a couple weeks ago that'll make all the nerds in the audience laugh.

The only back info needed is that on the coming weekend, Stu was supposed to be stopping by...

Stu: So, maybe next weekend when I come over I'll bring the laptop so we can trade the files.
Me: Next weekend?
Stu: What?
Me: Huh?
Stu: What?
Me: Huh?
Stu: What are we talking about?
Me: Are you coming this weekend or next weekend?
Stu: This weekend. I thought that's what we'd planned.
Me: Well, you said "next weekend" just now.
Stu: Oh, well... I'm still getting over this past weekend, so... this weekend is next weekend for me.
Me: (laughing) Stuart, time is not relative. It's an absolute. Like space. How we perceive them may be subjective, but they're actually absolutes.
Stu: But Dave, reality is perceptual.
Me: Yeah, but if it's _your_ perceptions, what's it matter?
Stu: Matter? I thought we were talking about time and space?
Me: I don't have the energy.

This was followed by about a minute and a half of straight laughing.

Me: You know, we're like a nerd version of Abbott and Costello.
Stu: Yeah.

We then decided that no one but us would laugh at that joke. We were proven wrong when the security guard at my work laughed before I even said "I....energy." My mom then also laughed at it.

So... maybe some of you will laugh at it or something. Or not.
