this is for those of you who have worked during reunion or know about them.
which days/activities should I not miss out on? I was actually looking at the reunion itenerary and was thinking to myself "'04 breakfast at haffner, humm.. can I COOK instead??"
because if i'm going, the ideal itenerary would be landing in east coast (New York, Philly, Boston, DC or wherever I can find a floor/hotel to crash on) between tuesday and wed (May 26-27) and stay in east coast for reunion, take a red-eye out to cali on sunday (31), and be back in tokyo by the 3rd. I'm only suggesting east-west route, just because i've had better experiences at immigration/customs in the east coast (O'hare, EWR, JFK) than LAX. I've heard my friend had some problems in clearing immigration at SFO, so I'd rather not go through there either.
I realize that there are few things I like to get done (job interview or a through review of my resume by CDO would be nice), and take advantage of the weak dollar to get new suits and blouse for work (is the economy bad enough that things are on sale?) and go to target, costco etc.
this is still 'assuming' and 'sayaka putting random dates on orbits to see what prices comes up'
i still have to ask for my leave and there is NO gurantee i get it. If my boss rejects my leave, then I may just take the plane on may 1.. and swallow the extra 'golden week holiday' price. (that's may 1-5)
of course one of the worst case scenario is boss approves leave, i get ticket (non-refundable of course), then they change their mind.
suggestions?? Comments?
