2050 is 40 years away. Just look at what's happening now. We didn't have the internet 40 years ago, or home computers. I bet that things will advance so much in 40 years we'll not know ourselves.

I'm pleased you liked the hint of happiness there. Buffy and Angel had a life together and like all things it came to an end.

Did you see the bit where I said that Buffy was in a better place, that she had told him so? I was referring to Buffy telling Angel she had gone to heaven, when she jumped off that tower to save the world and Dawn. Angel would know that Buffy was happy and in heaven.

Thanks, LJ. Recent events coloured my rosebud, as I'm sure you've noticed.

That started out so romantically I knew there had to be a catch-- totally didn't see the hologram thing coming, though. What got me was Angel talking and Buffy listening. That's a turnaround, and it makes sense that he would only get to that place after she was gone.

I love the sense of peace, and his contentment that Buffy had lived a grand life and he had been a part of it. Great rosebud; thanks for writing it!

And so happy that the twist was not what you expected.

I like to think that even if Angel stayed vamp, that he and Buffy had a life together, at least spend some years being happy, only not perfectly so.
