My life.
dichroic is running a little poetry contest, with the top prize being a free membership in the SFPA. The challenge was to use the Lunar maria as the inspiration or topic of the poem.
I have not been burning with the desire to join the SFPA. I haven't written a proper poem since college.
So, of course, I wrote one.
I polished it up and thought, "Self, you have no idea if this is any good. Perhaps you should just send it in anyway."
I then checked the submission guidelines.
They have to be 50 lines or fewer.
Mine is 58 lines.
This typifies my life in more ways than you can measure.
