So people hated "The Fountain", huh?
Because I think I'm a little in love with it. It's crazy, and a little incoherent, and there's a bit of odd racial politics in there-- probably inevitable when conquistadors are involved-- but overall, damn, how nice is it to have a movie with a decent vision, that's not like any other movie, and that follows it through, and just goes with the crazy. And Hugh Jackman is. Well. Hugh Jackman. The visuals are just astonishing, too. Especially at the ending, which is a bit bananas. But hey, bananas are tasty.
And at least someone in Hollywood still knows how to make 90-minute movies.
