A post with two Purposes - Teen Titans 18
Well this one's getting split time. Because it's got two very, very awesome things: Tim!robin fighting Tim!Batman, and Tombstones that make the fangirl in me very happy.
So I'm reading through Teen Titans and I hit the plotline where everyone's been tossed into the future and they get to meet their future selves. And I see the cover of #18. Bat Tim vs Robin Tim? AWESOME!
And then I see the tombstone.
My initial reaction is: OH MY GOSH! That is so cool! The cover artist was having fun!
Then I read through all the luscious angst and Tim's wonderful denials that he'll never be like this.
It's loads of fun playing pick out the names on the tombstone- AH! there it is AGAIN!?! Ok. now they're just yanking me around.
I love this scene. Tim TOTALLY slams his future self. He knows JUST what buttons to push. (Obviously.)
And then I see the tombstone. And I'm content. And then I bemoan the fact that they only end up together in alternate and doomed realities.
