Holiday Stress Gahhh
So really longing for a holiday for Bren and I atm, its kind of all I can think about I just want to get something planned!
I need to put it on the backburner though, this fortnight alone money is going to be tighter than a nun's twat due to the following:
- $299.00 electricity bill due by the 7th of feb
- $91.00 gas bill due by the 10th
- $225.00 water bill (which I need to query) due by the 3rd of feb.
- $100-$150 for steve to do my brakes next wednesday (cannot be put off, think I am down to metal on metal!)
The plus side is Brendon and I re-budgetted and instead of me just paying bills and him paying rent we are now splitting all homely costs straight down the middle so this eases my load abit. This means $307 comes from him for these and the same for me, makes it abit more manageable but still no big expenses for this fortnight (ie no big nights out or on the whippa).
I have no money stashed away for savings and the idea of this new budget is there is a certain amount that bren and I will put away each payday to cover these when they come in. This lot will come from our pays and hopefully by the next bill cycle we will have the cash built up and ready to pay. Im so releived to have some organisation and help with this you have no idea!
So ok as much as I want a holiday bad now is NOT the time to even plan one. I think I will make a day like a month from now and set a reminder on my phone to discuss and look up some ideas with Brendon.
Thats the other thing I don't even know where he would like to go or what sort of holiday he would like.
I know Brendon, I know he will tell me he's not fussed and wherever is fine and if thats the case Im happy to pick a spot but I just need to know as atm Ive got all sorts of crazy ideas swimming in my head.
One thought is to spend a weekend up in the snow, never done that before might be cool if its cheap enough however (the aim here is for a cheap break).
I found this gorgeous Japanese Mineral Springs up in Mornington Peninsula however its abit exy, accomodation alone is like $500! Would have been a good idea though as a substitute for the Japan trip we never got to have.
Im thinking somewhere we can drive to but alot of small towns in Victoria don't look very enticing to me, I don't know they all seem like Echuca and Im kind of sick of going up there. The only one that slightly appealed to me was Beechworth as they have a tour of their abandoned haunted asylum but other than that the town seemed pretty docile and plain.
Have found some cheap accom/ flights to Sydney that works out to about $700 all up......thats an idea I am toying with, a weekend in Sydney. Bren has never been and at least we would have places like Luna Park, Paddy's Market and numerous other things to do. Sarah has friends up that way too so if we wanted whippa while up there Im sure it could be arranged.
Ok putting this out of mind, putting down in my phone to not think about holiday until the 5th of March.
