Yeah well. I’ll be one of the little pretty malcontents to have an opinion on this. First of all, if I friend you, think of it as we share the same industry, therefore logically it’s assumed we could have things in common. It’s akin to actors friending every single one of their co-stars. And nothing’s wrong with that, is there? Personally, if you have something against your name being a friend of, then tell me now. It’ll be one less hassle for you to scroll past whatever sort of self-worshipping verbal masturbation I’m indulging in at the time and believe me, masturbation is something I highly recommend and encourage. Often.
Good thing I’m not new to this place, Amber Valletta. I can handle passive-aggressive posts like yours. Seriously, if you hate all our pretty little faces, then refrain from doing the “add back” thing. After a few days, even the most beautiful and vacant among us would take the fucking hint, yeah? As for those pretty model faces who are new? Not everything about this place is that hostile, alright? I may not be around on AIM and I might be too busy to comment right away, but it doesn’t mean I don’t read and I’m not fucking interested, alright?
Second, about the awards. I could care less about them. The way I see it, if people are feeling excluded, then maybe these people should have gathered their friends en masse to bombard the nomination polls. They were up for a week, weren’t they? It’s not as if they were only open for 23 minutes at 3am on a Tuesday morning. Opportunity was had, people. Lots of it. Don’t like the system, then be like Che and do something about it. Create your own revolutionary Best Of poll and make it as exclusionary as you like. Then the ‘popular’ kids can gather around and be resentful for being left out of your tailored and “cool” polls.
I don’t hate on people unless I have a reason to. Life is too fucking long to spend it by harvesting negativity. I’m taking a page from Adam Senn. If, by any chance, I manage to keep some of you on my friend’s list, then you can find me practicing zen, baby. Zen. And I’d probably like to have sex with each one of you, too.
