The perks of living near NY
Ok, so I went to NYC this weekend, and needless to say, it was soooo amazing. ive posted pictures, so look and enjoy.
i saw spelling bee and altar boyz......amazing. i think i actually enjoyed "altar boyz" more than spelling bee. it was truly amazing. the vocals were out of this world and the choreography was soooo awesome. i got to meet the guy who played mark cause my friend paige actually saw him in rent when it was on tour (a different tour from the one that came to atl). and he was sooo nice and so awesome. id even say he was better than tyler maynard. he didnt have the top notes as well as tyler maynard, but in terms of vocal ability and agility, he could do runs and stuff like nobodys business. and i got EVERYBODY'S autograph in spelling bee. the ENTIRE cast, i couldnt believe. i think thats the first time ive ever seen a show with NO understudy's, except Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. it was awesome, and every single cast member was sooo nice.
THEN, to add to the excitement, i actually met jose llana (chip tolentino) before the show. he was just standing outside the theatre talking on his cell phone and no one was recognizing him. so i was just like "can i shake your hand?" and i told him i was a huge fan, etc. then after the show, he totally remembered me and paige and was like "oh i saw you guys standing up there" (because we got standing room only tix, but theres not a bad seat in the house) and he like carried on a conversation with us. but, like an idiot, i had left my camera in paige's dorm, so i didnt take any pictures :(
THEN i went to see broadway on broadway on sunday!! it, too, was amazing. shoshana cracked in "for good", the performance from"the color purple" made me pee in my pants, the "all shook up" performance was my favorite, "spelling bee" microphones didnt work, so they had to start over and it was sooo funny, and they were totally good sports about it too. anyway, it was fun and i posted pictures from it so....here they are.
philly also continues to amaze me. im going to see i am my own wife at some point this week and ill let you guys now how it was.
BUT as awesome as it is to go to NY and live in philly, i cant wait to come home and see everyone, expecially my family. so im anxsiouslyl waiting until i can come home....
