So the other day I was rethinking my baby room decor. I had originally wanted to keep the walls cream, add a white chair rail and paint a really nice shade of yellowy-orange (Valspar "midnight bonfire") under the chair rail.
Well, Brad decided he wanted to put up wainscoting under the chair rail. Wainscoting should be white or stained a "wood" color, not painted orange. So. Time for a new plan.
I always wanted the room to be simple and not theme the room around some silly crib bedding set, because, well, that's just not me. I want to make my own theme!
New plan:
Brown area rug under crib (sand)
Light green bedding (seaweed)
White wainscoting
White chair rail
Cream wall above chair rail
Large water color painting of a sea turtle for the wall (so cool!)
Circle mirrors in different sizes to look like bubbles for the walls (bubbles)
White shelving on walls to set like little stuffed animals...
White ceiling fan with blue cones around the lights (just pulling in some blue...)

Theme: Under water

Baby's new nickname until Daddy and I agree on a real one: Seaweed

Because: Precious baby boy is the seaweed in the room in his green bedding :O)
